Flight Training while completing Modular study?

Hi Everyone,

A quick question. Is there a requirement to complete the JAR ATPL subjects prior to embarking on the flight training component (CPL/IR and MCC) ? Or, is it possible to combine both, or complete the flying training before passing all 14 subjects?

Thanks for your help

The exams should have been completed before you take the commercial skills test. It would probably be a tad risky to be sitting the exams and doing your commercial flight training as, if you failed any, you wouldn't be able to take the GFT.

This is the general principle - as I am a helicopter, I don't know whether there are any fixed wing exemptions; I suspect not.

Cheers

Whirlygig,

You may be uglier than an aeroplane, but you are an awfully intelligent and articulate helicopter!
