What is SSP (CCAT and BA)?
Hi,
Can someone explain what SSP is? Its on the CCAT website. What are the qualifications needed to be selected for SSP by BA once on your training?

Why dont you email or call CCAT or Oxford. Theyll be able to tell you everything. I believe you have to get over 80 or 85% average for your ATPLs and get first time passes in the flying side.
Great news for the integrated schools - it means they can dangle a BA logo in front of all their potential students when they come to look round! - easy money for them!

Oxford Aviation Training is delighted to have been invited by BA to supply Trainee pilots and Graduates to be considered for selection for entry into the airline under their existing SSP scheme. The airline is seeking to fill 24 vacancies on both the B737 and A320 aircraft from the beginning of 2005 with Integrated ATPL Graduates.
Steps of the BA SSP scheme
Recommendation from the Training Panel of a BA Approved FTO
Review of FTO recommendations by the BA pilot recruitment team
Invitation to submit a completed SSP application form to BA
Invitation to attend Day 1 of selection (Group Exs, Interview, Assessment tests)
Invitation to attend Day 2 of selection (Simulator assessment on B777: PF & PNF)
Entry into BA SSP Jet Orientation Course (JOC) holding pool
JOC funded by BA
Offer by BA to join the SSP scheme
Type Rating Training funded by BA
Minimum Entry Requirements
Enrolment upon a pre-selected Integrated ATP Course of Training (APP or equivalent) with course completion no later than 24 th December 2004
Enrolment upon an Integrated ATPL Course of Training (APP or equivalent) with course completion no later than 24 th December 2004
Greater than 85% average score in ATPL theoretical examinations
First Series Pass on UKCAA Instrument Rating Skills Test
Recommendation by FTO Training Panel
Timing
First OAT recommendations to BA ~ 5 th October 2004
First OAT recommendations to BA ~ 5 th October 2004
First BA Selection activities - 16 November 2004
First JOC training activities ~ January 2005 (TBC)
SSP Pay
Basic Salary ~ £25,920 pa
Basic Salary ~ £25,920 pa
Flight Pay ~ £8 per hour
Duty Pay ~ £2.58 per hour
No Training Bond
