JAR multi to FAA multi
friend of mine has JAR frozen ATPL and FAA CPL/IR but SE only. wants to convert to FAA CPL/IR multi. Whats required? Done a search but its like trying to catch a cup on water from a waterfall!! I have both qualifications but went FAA to JAR as do most people.

Requires flight training as required to achieve FAA PTS standards followed by checkride with FAA or FAA designated examiner. No written test is involved. The flight test will involve stalls, steep turns, Vmc demo, EFATO, 2 approaches in simulated IMC down to minima, one of these will be single engine, single engine go around, single engine circuit and landing. (Or something like that anyway!) Many schools in the US do 2/3 day courses for about 1500 dollars, not sure about the possibilities of undertaking it in this country.
Good luck
