Aerobatic Training

Hi,
Does anyone know of a decent Flight School (etc) where I can receive training on Aerobatics and/or Unusual Attitude Recovery Training?
Preferably located near London, but anywhere in the UK will be ok,

Cheers

Frank

Well the only specialist in aeros I know is at Kemble in Gloucestershire, Ultimate High. However at many airfields you could find an aerobatic instructor - certainly down in Compton Abbas in Dorset for example. My employers can provide in Bournemouth, but is not cheap as until I get the time and weather to do the course the only person qualified for aeros is the head of training. Damn good instructor though, and we have an SF 260

Anyone should be able to give UA training.

I asked the same question recently on the private flying forum - there were a few answers then

there is a Slingsby T-67 Firefly at stapleford which looks like good fun. I've seen that a/c and had a chat with the instructor.
There is also Alan Casidys school in white waltham with a Pits 2 and there is a CAP-10 around somewhere around london aswell.

I understand there is a Chipmunk at Booker airfield or Wycombe Air Park (as I think it is now called) where aero training is available.

CAP 10 is based at White Whaltham and is operated by a company called London Aeros they have a website (www.london-aeros.co.uk)... did a bit of flying with them a few years ago and the aircraft is top...

Also have flown the Chippy at Booker... great fun too but the CAP 10 is a better for aeros... some of the most enjoyable flying I've done although it did make me feel a bit...

Alan Cassidy is the Daddy (or Uncle as he's known). Current British aerobatic team boss, there's not much he doesn't know about aeros. He has also published a very good book called Better Aerobatics which won't be too difficult to find.
Also, have a look at the BAeA website for a list of aerobatic schools (Pilot briefing / aerobatic training) .
Here is a link to Alan Cassidy's website.
