Ward1,

Type in UKFT and look in the search section of this site, people have LOTS to say about them.

PPL

They started training for the JAA PPL in 1990. Check the facts that they claim with the CAA and then decide.

You will have great fun flying from Long Beach.

JAR Compliant PPL

Hi guys, ive also been looking at UKFT and wondered what the difference was between a JAR Compliant PPL and a full JAA PPL.

Which area would any body recommend...??? East or West Coast.

Its an FAA PPL with UK aviation law and UK RT Licence. i would take the option for full JAA PPL that they offer.

You will have better weather in California.

i done JAA ppl, in hind sight would have done FAA one or "JAA compliant" as they call them, as it is ICAO and gets you onto the ATPL. Only 1 exam as well I think. If you are doing it for recreational flying I'd probably go JAA.

And the birds are fit in Long Beach too. Anyone frequent De Piazza?
