Visa Help

I am planning to go out to the US for a CPL course in the couple of weeks leading up to Christmas.

I have a problem in that the London US Embassy cannot give me an appointment until the 7th of December. I need to leave for the US at the very latest on the 11th but they are claiming it will take up to 7 days to post me the Visa...

If anyone has had any joy getting their application rushed through i would like to know.

Also the Dublin Embassy has much lower waiting times for interviews and processing however they claim that you need to add a massive 45days on to the processing if you are not an Irish Resident?

I am pretty desperate to get this sorted so if anyone has got any ideas or help i would be thankful.

cheers

I have had students that made an appointment in Dublin which is normally withing 3 days and hopped a flight over. If you can afford the time and expense then this has worked for other students. (some even went to Italy!)

Hi ninety-nines,

I have no problem with paying to go to Dublin or anywhere in europe to get it sorted, the problem is that whilst they are processing my visa they keep my passport which means i obviously can't go anywhere! Dublin were quoting 45 days processing for non-irish residents which technically means i'd be stuck in Ireland for this time...

If you know differently then i would like to know.

thanks

VP

I will try to get hold of the student to find out his actual ins and outs as I know that he was completed within the week.
