Radio Practical for PPL ?

Hey,

Just wondering if the CAA will still issue a PPL with only the Radio written exam done and not the practical ?

thanx

Yes.

But if you want to obtain a FRTOL later on, you'll have to pay a further £59 fee. Whereas if you apply for your PPL and FRTOL at the same time, the PPL issue fee covers both the PPL and the FRTOL. Also, your Communications - PPL theory pass will only be valid for 12 months from the date of passing it if you don't apply for the FRTOL at the same time as the PPL.

Strongly recommend that you apply for both together - unless you fly in such a remote area that you won't need radio....
