What would you expect?
Hi guys!
Just a quick question, what would you expect to be included in an Ab-intio traing scheme.
Was all set to go to bank with a nice-ish figure when i recieved the conformation letter and the course price to be 11k higher than that when i went for testing. (the stapleford/astraeus course)
Dont know if any of the 5 already on the course can shed some light or are you paying 61k for a course which you were initially told woul be 50k????!!
Any ideas, any help, anybody?

Kempus,
From my research the £25k 0-fATPL course excludes quite a lot.
Here is the course breakdown: -
Private Pilot Licence £5,115
(Structured Hour Building) £5,595
ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Course £2,450
Commercial Pilot Licence Course £2,935
Multi Engine / Instrument Rating Course £11,535
You need to add the following to get the correct cost: -
Multi Crew Co-operation Course £2,250
UK Examiner Flight Test Fees: £405
CAA Flight Test Fees: £2,044
CAA Licence Fees: £540
Landing and Approach Fees - Away Airfields £570
Total Cost Approx. £34k
Remember the CPL is only single engine as well so you may want to pay extra for a ME Course.
I am putting together an analysis on the flying school costs for the modular route for the good ones in the uk, pm your email and i'll send it through.
You may also need to add a Night Rating and ATPL Exams Costs in too!!!
