Can someone check this please, just to make sure that I'm not going insane?!
Question from OAT ATPL exam prep CD-ROM....
Refer to Jeppesen manual chart E(HI)4 FOR EXAMS.
The radio aid at ZURICH (N4737 E00849) is:
a) NDB, freq. 115.0 KHz
b) VOR, freq. 115.0 MHz
c) VOR/DME, freq. 115.0 MHz
d) TACAN on channel 11
They give answer b)....
As I see it, for starters the freq. is 110.05 MHz, the location is N47 35.5 E008 49.1, and surely the "D" in front of the frequency denotes DME capability? Nearest answer, c).
Cheers,
FT

I think you are looking at the wrong chart. E(HI) 4 does have a VOR/DME Zurich East at 4735.5N 00849.1E with frequency 110.05. However, E(HI) 4 'CAA FOR CPL/ATPL EXAMINATIONS' has a different frequency at the same location 115.0. That would make the book answer correct. This is typical of CAA examination questions.

My map is slightly different.
It gives the location as N47 35.6 (so .1 out) and E008 49.1.The freq is 115.0.
No small D preceding the frequency.
I agree with b.
Edited to say just saw Nav's reply while I was posting. Mine is For CPL/ATPL EXAMS (as stated in the q ?)
