What is Your Intention?
A very funny comment that re-entered my brain after talking to some PPL veterans a week or so ago.
ATC asked an aircraft in the circuit what his intentions were and the pilot replied, my intention sir is to become a commercial pilot and fly for an airline....ATC replied, sorry sir but do you want to land or go-around??

He could have said, "Do you mean towards your daughter?", at which point he should have abandoned his pre-landing checks, pulled out his chart and started thumbing the route to his previously unplanned alternate.
