Hourbuilding

Hello everybody

Does anyone know how long it takes to get an FAA license when I already have a JAR one, to go hour building? And can anyone tip me on where to get a reasonable cheap (and safe) airplane, and do the multi rating?

Thanks a bunch guys

Oyv

Where do you plan to hour build? UK or US?

3-4 weeks of waiting whilst the paperwork progresses through, then a visit to a names FAA FSDO, and about a 90 minute BFR (Biannual Flight Review) with an FAA instructor.

There's a link on private flying forum (sticky at the top) describing how to get an FAA licence from your JAA one.
