Is there anyone in the south Essex area that is currently or recently done ATPL distance learning? I'd like if possible to have a look at their course material before I finally take the plunge and Pays my monies!

Many Thanks

Why dont you go and visit there? As long as you phone in advance, you will be able to go and have a look around, and a chat to the students there, Since you are going to spend 4 weeks there, and spend a lot of time staring at the books, it may be worthwhile

I was passing Cheddar a couple of weeks ago and dropped in to Bristol GS to ask them for info on their course. I found them very helpful. I was able to look through their notes for as long as needed and even had a brief chat with Alex who kindly took the time to talk to me at some length. Even had the opportunity to talk to some of the students. All in all I was very impressed.

So I'd definitely recommend taking NB's advice and paying them a visit.

Haven't signed up yet. Waiting for the class 1 before commiting any funds.
