oat accomodation
I'm planning to start at oxford on the app course in august. Need to know what the accomodation is like. What kind of price would I expect to pay for a room in a shared house?
Any ideas gratefully accepted....

they just upped the onsite accom prices to a level which is too high for what they offer, obviously this is my opinion. Try and get a house, course mates of mine are about £90 a week ish.
Good luck for august.

Go find a property in Woodstock. It's a 10 minute cycle ride from the airport, nice little village with a decent enough little Co-op for the necessities and about 14 pubs.
Not sure what rent is like now, but there is always plenty of property available for 3 to share. £90 pw sounds like it should be about right.
You could rent in Kidlington for about the same money, but as it is a large village you might not necessarily be any closer than in Woodstock. Whereas Woodstock is full of the middle classes, farmers and foreign tourists, Kidlington is full of the criminal classes, slappers and assylum seekers. And it has less pubs.
