U.K/EU vs. U.S ATPL.

I know that we(U.K) don't recognise the U.S ATPL. Does the same apply to U.K ATPLs in the US. If so which countries can I work in with a U.K/EU ATLP or a U.S ATPL.
What are the benefits of one over the other.
And lastly, which countries have the highest demand for pilots?

I myself recently unfortunately found out my eyesight doesnt meet CAA Class 1 medical standards. So I tried the FAA medical and my eyesight is within its limits, therefore I'm trying to gain an FAA CPL/ATPL.I'd like to know also if any other countries accept a FAA CPL/ATPL.

Strange world,

I am unable to get an FAA Class 1 medical due to my eyesight, but have no problems with my JAA class 1 medical!
