Sim time or time in aircraft?

Looking at the I/R training syllabus for most Approved schools, they give you a cheaper option, because you spend most of your time in a simulator.

What do you think? Should I try to balance sim time with time in aircraft (cheaper option) or concentrate most of my hours in the aircraft (more expensive option)?

Appreciate your advice again

There was thread on this very topic not a week ago. Look for the thread "IR sim or M/E IR hours" (or words to that effect) a couple of pages back. It should help answer your question.
