Lowest Lows and Highest Highs

Just started a new job and I absolutely hate it. But - the money is good and I'm saving it up to finish my training. My boss is a complete jacka$$ but I have to put up. Have been feeling quite low.

Anyway, I was ranting and raving to my buddy who is a CFI about this and he advised that the lower I feel now - the better I will feel when I first get that cherished flying job. (nice of him - and it convinced me somewhat).

So as motivation for all us wannabes - what have been your lowest lows and highest highs during your career path. How did you manage to keep your head held high and come out at the top.
