Instrumnt Question FADEC

Does FADEC (Full authority digital engine control), control the start up of aircraft engines or just engine thrust output requirements?

Its just that I failed this particular exam (instruments) and this was one of the option on an exam I went for

Help appreciated

kind regards.

At the difference of the partial authority which is just an optimization of the thrust, -the computer having the possibility to adjust the thrust within limits (around 7% for example) the classical mechanical unit drives the fuel and controls the engines-, the FADEC (which is the Engine computer and its peripherals) monitors and commands the whole functionning of the engine, ... the quite delicate phase of start-up is fully controlled by the Full Authority system
