No not that I know of. You could easily be in a syndicate or have done them abroad.
On this subject does anyone know how or if the CAA checks the hours, especially if your'e not at a UK FTO?

Cheers

Definitely not. Only the training has to be done at a JAA approved school.

silverknapper - not sure they do. Your logbook's a legal document so it's your responsibility to make sure it's accurate. I guess it would be too difficult anyway to check all the hours.

THANKS FOR THAT!

AS FOR LOG BOOKS, I BELIEVE THEY SELECT SOME TO CHECK FROM TIME TO TIME BUT THATS ABOUT IT.

CIPO,

HOWSABOUOTYERSOITIS? I know people from Belfast sound like they're shouting even when they're whispering sweet nothings, but that's no reason to do it in your posts as well.
