I had the door of a 152 pop open on very short finals, when I was carrying out my night flying recency for my CPLA. It was a very bumpy night. There was certainly no need for a passenger to have told me about it (although I didn't have one) - the loud bang it made was more than enough!

Before sending a student off on a solo I'd pop a door on them both in flight and right after lift off.
Briefed event though.

Good stuff.

The other one in a 152 (which is in the book) is a banging noise coming from the underside as you reach lift-off speed, due to having shut the end of the seat belt in the door.

Again, if this happens just after lift off, I would suggest you leave it alone until cruise or downwind - too many reports of people killing themselves losing control trying to open and shut doors when they're already busy enough with other things.
