He pulled the plug at 1200 ft half mile short of crosswind, looked out of his right side and said " I've got a good grass field here!" " I've got a better one this side, it's called EGPJ, thanks anyway"
We touched down still in the turn at 5deg bank on one wheel, comment, "Bloody glider pilots!"
Fine if the airfield is close enough. Real FLs don't happen like that.
