I'll be in Bonanza (BE33) G-BYRT and it looks as if we will be 3 up.
Newbloke, re Panshanger, they actively discourage visiting aircraft esp at weekends. Best give them a ring 01707 391791 if you want to meet LowNslow there... [This message has been edited by Cahlibahn (edited 14 September 2000).] |
I've booked our Plane :), The Mrs has given me a pass :), should also have my IMC bit of paper by then :)
Just need to find some Avgas http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/frown.gif Looking forward to meeting you all. GV [This message has been edited by GulfStreamV (edited 14 September 2000).] |
How are we going to recognise each other? I'll wear my official PPRuNe teeshirt from the Ash Bash.. What about everyone else?
|
We all have to wear hats that make us look stupid.
I will have a Bear hat. |
LowNslow
You can come with me. I am based at Elstree but will go only for the day i.e Saterday. Hope that weather will be o.k as I hate low clouds and do not enjoy beeing inside. |
From about Cambridge upwards it seems there is very little controlled Airspace. For those of us used to the TMA and doing most of our flying at 2400' this will be a bit of a new experience. Let us go for an Altitude record on the way up. Highest on the way to the fly-in will get a bottle of Mouton Cadet that I brought back last time I was in France.
I suggest that nearer the time, those of us flying up all E-mail each other with our flight plans, we could then call each other on 123.45 (if that isn't illeagal ;) ) Perhaps I should point out that airmanship should not be compomised and to .....naaa, you are all grown up and responsible adults...right. |
Those of us who live and fly near hills are not used to being BELOW 2,400 ft. And controlled airspace, wot's that? Oh, yes, there is some around Birmingham, but that's well over an hour away, and flying in that direction is boring.
And flying high in a helicopter feels strange. So any prizes for the LOWEST (especially as LowNSlow's leaving his Cub at home)? |
NewBloke, appreciate the offer, but the only thing that gets out of Rush Green 4 up with fuel is a Rhiems Rocket. Don't compromise your futre (spelling is a bit dodgy courtesy of the 16 men of Tain, whisky drinkers should no wat i meen).
Cahliban, drop me a line and we'll tie up at Stevenage railway station if that's OK with you. Ref. transport, is that one of the aerobatic Banana's, sorry Bonanza's, ex.KLM? R22, are you coming fling wing or fixed wing? (new compass on order) |
Fling Wing. After all I've been saying about helicopters on here, I think it might destroy my credibility completely if I were to arrive in a C152. Apart from that, getting hold of anything with wings to take away for a whole day has become next to impossible round here.

G5,
With the present sick state of my aircraft any chance of a lift up and back on the day in the Fuji?I promise I am relatively civilised and well behaved! arrow2 |
