Actually it is a mistake, but not in the way you mean.
The jumper was caught in a static line deployment bag not the under carriage. It became wrapped around his ankle as he exited. The pilot of the BN2T however was a civilian. He took the aircraft up to 8000ft before coming back to cut the jumper away. Both landed safely, one with bruises. |
Note to Sky News Ed. When trawling through the archives looking for photos of parachutists dropping from a Light Aircraft, maybe a C-130 Herc is not the best fit... :)
