Lydd doesn't have much around it but it does have a very good golf club right next door. The mens courses are 6,000+ yards par 71. With the reasonable landing fees and the short walk to the club it would be my choice in the southeast.

I'm looking for the same but with the addition of a B&B Pub run by a nymphomaniac next door :eek:

Also out of the area is Blackpool with Royal Lytham and Woodvale with Birkdale.

You could just about walk to the 9 on Alderney for something a bit different. ;) I bet not many people have played there.

George - you might even find what you are looking for, I am guessing the locals might welcome visitors particularly in the winter and their are plenty of B and Bs and one rather nice hotel.
