I had a 1970 A150K that was US built and subsquently used in the Caribbean on a British C of A! At some point post build it had been internally zinc chromate sprayed. It had lived outside all it's life and, although the external paint was utter cr@p, it didn't suffer any internal corrosion as was shown when it was stripped and resprayed properly.
The aircraft I currently own was assembled from zinc chromated parts so, with hindsight, I think I was lucky with the Aerobat and would now hold out for a Rheims built one or a US one that was built for a "wet" state. |
