I bought an airplane in England last year. I've been repairing it in my spare time. Down between the floorboards, I found this:

Oh cool! We could all print that off from your post and bankrupt the catering service at Welshpool :) Lovely airfield btw, so I hope we dont do that.

It's surely a forgery - they spelt "complimentary wrong!

What does amuse me though, is how a voucher for a cup of coffee can be valid for any other day than the day of landing.

If it was redeemed the day before I landed, then the coffee would be cold. If it was redeemed the day after I landed, then I'd never get to drink it. :uhoh:

That's kicked off the argument nicely....thought it might. It's not spelt (or spelled) wrongly.

But the intended meaning of vouchers like these (a free cuppa) is "With our compliments". i.e. you don't need to pay for it.

Land, have your coffee its free, stop overnight and go for a coffee before leaving - not free!

Although...
If it's on the following day, they don't specify just where you have to land.

Perhaps it's designed to exclude sneaky people who thought of driving or walking to the airport.

I think it's worth keeping so that when you've completed your aircraft you can make a trip specially.

I know Welshpool is surrounded by hills (1,500' circuit) but I didn't realise they went up to 13,000'! I'm assuming the chart came with the voucher...

No, the chart was selected from my library, at add a little colour to an otherwise boring scanned image. The charted area is in the US northwest.

Hey ST, tell me when you claim your tea, I'll come over buy you some cake to go with it. I find Welshpool cake an excellent oomplement to tea...;)

@ST: so you bought a plane in old Blighty, flew her home but damaged her so bad en route that you are still at the repairs? :) Seriously, though, what plane is it?

I bought a Teal amphibious flying boat, which was pre damaged for me in Fowlmere. Aside from a few moments suspended from a crane, or lifted by forklift, it had a surface trip to Canada. It's near to flight again, though doubtful ever in the UK....
