Im just wondering, does the CAA accept an Irish Class 2 medical from an IAA certified AME, for the PPL??

Cheers

i would think so...they accept flight examiners credentials provided the FE sends a copy of his authorisation with the test results ...but you could check it with the IAA...or better still the CAA...they seem to very helpful on the phone...:ok:

Are you talking old CAA-PPL, or CAA issued JAA-PPL?

If you have a CAA issued JAA-PPL, the CAA will only accept a JAA medical for it, ie. a JAA-FCL 3 certified Class 2 Medical. For an old style CAA-PPL, I have no idea.....

Regards - And best of luck with it, SD..

PS, even if you phone them (CAA) and ask, they may change their minds later....
