Super Decathlon
Am flying a Super Decathlon on Sunday - haven't got a POH and can't find much online (dial up is killing me - broadband broken!)
Can anyone tell me: Norm. operating RPM + MP/VNO/cruise speed CCT MP/speed; assumes 80kts? BPM AGL/2000ft/4000ft/6000ft VNE etc. and anything else I have forgotten that I may need! Thanks in advance...Flik ;) |
Have found a few figures.......however i can't be sure these are from the flight manual.

Nice aircraft, would'nt mind having a flight in one myself. Forgot to mention........take off is full power, but the book seems to reccomend after 1000ft agl reducing to climb power......which is 2500rpm and 25in Hg manifold pressure. Of course as you know, every operator may well have their slightly modified figures they use. Also I can\'t find the MTOW for Aerobatic category....the 1800lb I quote i assume is the normal category. Have fun!! |
Thanks!
Brillant - good stuff. Am doing my tailwheel checkout in it tomorrow, may as well go and do some hairybatics as well :) Was meant to do my tailwheel on a CAP10c but it's still in France being built (only a few more weeks to go!!)
Cheers for all the info - muchly appreciated! |
Flik,
Surely if you are doing a checkout, then your 'checker' would impart all of the info that Booke23 so generously provided to you in the pre-flight brief..... ....Or is it a 'self checkout'? :E |
yes my instructor would...but i prefer to be on the ball rather than to faff around with niff naff and trivia in a pre-flight brief, which should focus on the sortie and not so much on the a/c ;)
