Flying schools, Charlotte, North Carolina

Help please.
Does anybody know of, or can they recommend a flying school in the area of Charlotte, North Carolina.
I have the chance of a holiday there next summer and would like to rent a 172, PA28 or similar for a week.
Many thanks.

Rudds,

There are a few.. so it all depends on what you prefer.. and where you will be in Charlotte etc...

I trained at ISO Aero at Concord (JQF).. in 172s. They also have one Warrior if I am not mistaken.

Then, there's an outfit at Wilgrove airport (8A6).. trainers are old beat up Cherokees (upgraded to 160HP).. the field is interesting to say the least... 2800x40ft...

One other place I've only been to once is Goose Creek (28A)... the runway is even shorter ... something like 2300x35.. that'll get your skills right from the start

There's more.. but the above's probably what should be considered first.

Let me know if you need more details..
