Military Conflicts

We have all no doubt heard many stories about potential/real conflicts with military traffic especially Fast Jets. Perhaps it would be of interest to have some actual views directly from pilots so that this may be put into some perspective. The military training is to a standard that many of us aspire to and perhaps never reach so conflict is indeed rare. There are (according to MOD) some 250 FJ pilots currently and the last 10 years has seen 410 airspace infringements by the military. Do we need to understand the military operation more than we appear to do? Do we need a better system (never used it myself) than CANP? etc etc. Does the military understand GA operations in the UK?
