PFA Rally Website down

The rally website at http://www.pfa-rally.com/ appears to be down, which is a bit of a bummer for those looking for the AIC.

You can get it here in the interim.

Hopefully the outage won't last too long.

Latest Information left on my answer machine by Mike originating from Phil Bate is that there was some corruption on the main database server not the AES Web site server and that it should be up and running at the time the message was left (16:35 BST). I have just checked and indeed the AES appears to be back in working order.

Worth noting that the contingency plan that was negotiated and implemented as a result of the initial meetings with NATS AIS worked well and information concerning the outage was forthcoming from Phil very quickly. As with all systems glitches do occur but as mentioned, the back up worked as planned.

Hope to see you at the PFA rally tomorrow!

Definitely the day for things to go down! Dave and I were surprised at how quiet the "Hard" ATC was this morning till we listened on a handheld after touchdown - the transmitter was extremely weak: wouldn't open the squelch on our aircraft radio.

Fortunately fixed by afternoon departure time.

A great day out, in fabulous wx, and met some very nice people during the day. Some amazing bargains on sale, too.

Sorry not to meet up with Girl Flyday, but maybe next time...
