Strips near Leeds?

Anybody know of any farm strips near Leeds?

Chris Makins' place near Garforth is temporarily closed due to planning or neighbour issues, and I would like to avoid the extortion of LBA, if at all possible.

I have been into Sherburn a few times, indeed was even a member there many moons ago - I was after somewhere a bit closer in to Leeds - like Garforth!

That is just what I wanted. I know where the strip is. Unfortunately that phone number does not work! And directory enquiries draws a blank.

By a roundabout method, found that the guy has a Rallye G-BCUL. From the G-INFO database, I got the owner as:

CHRISTOPHER AIMERY USSHER
HAWKS HOUSE
OTLEY ROAD, HAREWOOD
LEEDS
LS17 9LR

I've tried a BT Directory Enquiries search and that name yields no response - suggests that it may be ex-directory. Have also done a BT search for all farms in the area and New Laithe Farm does not appear in the lists. Have done a Yellow Pages search for farmers in the area with no luck.

Checked Pilot Web and Flyer sites - would have tried UKGA.com, but the site appears to be down at the moment.

Following on from CB's reply, A "Christopher Ussher" is/was the estate manager for the Harewood House estate. Why not try them on 0113 288 6252 to see if it is the same person!

Thank you guys for all your help. Eventually spoke to Chris Usher. Sadly the strip is udner teh plough at the moment, and his Rallye is on a mjor - which came first I don't know! So it will be the tender delights and rip-off fees of LBA.
