Lane Farm Airstrip
I'd be grateful for any experience tips regarding LANE FARM airstrip near HAY-ON-WYE.
How's the climb out & approach? I'm visiting in a Warrior, take off with 2 adults, 2 kids.
Thanks

I had this one to do last Wed after seeing posting by QDMQDMQDM, on 26th May, on this Forum, but the cloudbase was too low so will try again Mon. There was no mention of the climb out or approach in QDM's posting, will post Mon if we get there.

Thanks for reply. I'm flying in tonight, out on Sat AM. Back in on Sun night and out again on Mon AM. May see you.
I've found more info since my posting. The approach plate & photo can be downloaded from :

Pilot magazine ran a full page review on Lane Farm in the May 2003 issue, page 93.
Enjoy your flight.

Just as an update. Flew in yesterday & out today. The airfield is very easy to spot, nice & smooth and the owner is very helpful. No proplems with surrounding hills.
