Excellent New Fiction Book WW2

Hi All

May I recommend a fairly new book ( March 2003 ) called " Under An English Heaven "

The Author is Robert Radcliffe and it is published by Abacus with an ISBN No. 0349115036.

This book is a fictional account of a 8th Air Force Base in Suffolk during WW2.
It covers both the Bomber Ops and the effect on the local village and it's people.

It has excellent reviews on Amazon Uk.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look that one up for a next read.

My conversion to air brainedness is nearly complete. Therefore my idea of recreactional reading is now aviation based!

I just picked up a copy of "Think Like A Bird" about a British Army Air Corp Officer pilot flying De Haviland Beavers. I'll let you know what I think.

Others worthy of a different kind of a brain out thriller stylee are:

Ken Follet's "Night Over Water". Fun, frolics and intrigue aboard a Pan American B314 Clipper flying boat!

Micheal Crichton's "Airframe". Not so much a who dun it, but what the 'ell 'appened? In 747 sized proportions of course!
