What, no cockpit photo?!

Just read the Pilot magazine article about the Twin Otter flying to and from Barra, and I was wondering why they have not printed a photo of the cockpit? This is after all a Pilot's magazine and not Reader's Digest. Any way, good reading, and at least the other pics are good quality.

Whay does the author say 'Gear up, we start a climbing left turn...' if the Twotter has fixed gear? Do they do gear cheks by habit?

Spooky...

Dude~

You must be a psychic PPRuNer! I had the exact same two thoughts last night as I browsed the article in the comfort of my smallest room. I wondered whether the nosewheel retracts alone but it seems not, having studied the photos again.

Despite this, great article - the flying looks fantastic (for fixed-wing)
