Logbook

As I have not flown very much since year 1999 I haven't bothered buying a new JAR-FCL compliant logbook, however, as I am about to accelerate flying now I would like to know if there was any standard european logbook one should buy (like Jeppesen or somehting in that way). I am only PPL helicopter and fixed-wing rated but do have CPL ambitions so I wonder if there is anyone out there to give me a tip on which logbook to choose.

Mine's just a Transair generic type one - seems to have all the right columns for PPL flying!

I assume that CPL would need a much larger one - I'm sure I've seen one in their shop that's about an inch thick - must be it.

Why do it if it's not fun?

Just stick with what you've got. One day, you might find that you need more columns than there is space for in your old logbook, that's when you buy a CPL one, but there's no specific rules about what your logbook looks like, as long as it's easy to get the information from it.
