Airstrip near Tunbridge Wells?????
Looking for a 500m plus strip available for a regular summer commute to Luton airport no hangarage/services required.Ideally about 7 miles south of Tunbridge Wells.Anyone got any ideas??? seem to remember seeing some strips in that area.Aircrafts normally based at Redhill but we can,t get early enough a start from their to make the trip viable.Help/ideas much appreciated.
Hi Stampe.
There are two strips near Paddock Wood. Old Hay. ( 01582 830215). And Laddingford. (01732 350691). The phone numbers are from the U.K. VFR Flight Guide. I should add, I'm not connected with any of the named strips so they might say no.
hope this helps.

There’s a private strip at Lamberhurst, about 8 miles south of TW. It used to be owned by Martin Sergeant, who tragically died last year when his Spitfire crashed at an airshow in Rouen. I live near there, and pass the strip regularly. It is still well maintained, but I don’t see anyone using it. At a guess, it’s about 500 metres.
There is also a very secure hangar on the strip, which used to house Martin’s Spit and Harvard.
I know his son, so could put you on to him if you want.
