Thumbs up HONDA develops GA engine

As announced with a Press Release yesterday, Honda has developed a flat 4 aircraft engine for general aviation and is undergoing tests on TCM test beds for about two years now.

So there´s another hopefull attempt to bring automotive innovations (and prices ?) to the aircraft market.
My first Honda ran for 300.000 km without unscheduled maintenance or repair (just changing the timing belt every 100.000 km), was very fuel economic and smooth running and even survived running on the same oil (without replacement or filling up) for the last 60.000 km or about 1000 hrs before I sold it.
Let´s hope it is not just another project following the many other unsuccessful ones in the last 50 years.

Interesting that there's no mention of weight, power, sfc or certification.
