Hi

I am trying to trace some of the USAAF cubstrips used during WW2

The exact locations either 6 fig grid ref's or long / lat would be exremely helpful. Alternately can anyone point me in the right direction to find this info.

Shaftesbury Ave is rumoured to have been used as an airstrip in the war with Cubs/Taylorcraft being parked in the carpark of the public house at the junction with Wood Lane.

I cant help you with strip locations but you may be able to help me getting some history on an L4J #45-4466 (at some time converted back to L4H spec) that I bought into last year.

I can only go back as far as 1973 when it was transferred from the French to UK register and I would love to find out where it served DURING WW2
