Class II to Class I medical

I was wondering.....
If one has a class II medical, is it cheaper to get a class I than if you don't have the class II? Or does it make no difference?

Many thanks,
tKF

Only difference is you don't have to resit the ECG.

I don't think that there is anyway of avoiding a £400 initial Class 1 at the Belgrano.
If your under 40 you won't have had a Class 2 ECG anyway. After that the validity periods are the same for 1 or 2 I believe.

The Class 1 is valid also for class 2 privileges and validity periods.

I'm 15 and recently got my class 2, and I did have an ECG

I think it's something JAA has said - that all class 2 holder's have to have an ECG.

My Class 2 was £150
My Class 1 was £400.

FFF It could depend on the period between Class 1 and Class 2 ?
2 Months for me.

Also the ECG is now being read by Gatwick not just the AME. So they already have a current reading.
