A20 vs A30

Looking to get some insight on those who have owned both Bose A20 and Bose A30.

Im in the market for a headset and looking to purchase some Bose. I have friends that’s have worn A20s and friends that have worn A30s, but not both.

Both sides claim there’s are best, and while there are some clear advantages to each such as being to buy A30s new, I’m looking for a comparison of someone who has used both!

I would immediately discount the opinions of those who have only worn one but know which is the best..!

Can they lend you them for a fight? Try them both, pick your favourite.

A rotary perspective

I can only help with rotary, but having worn both extensively the A20s ANC is much better at coping with the frequencies in both piston and turbine helicopters. Whilst the a30s are lighter, I think the build quality feels cheaper and sometimes have an awful buffet as the automatic adjustment of the ANC doesn’t cope well in a rotary cockpit. May be better in a quieter fixed wing cockpit.

Still I’d take a second hand set of a20s or Lightspeed over a A30 now with the prices of the Bose being equivalent of a small car! Unless you can find a good deal or get the tax knocked off through a business.
