IFD ' courses
Can anybody tell me if there are good courses either Internet-based or otherwise that offer excellent training on IFD? Love all the technology, but it’s useless unless you know how to use it really well

Are you talking about Intelligent Flight Displays normally used in non-certified aircraft? Or a more specific product?
Most units will show the same information but vary in detail so the individual manufacturer's instruction manual would normally be your starting point. There is little out there that covers the subject in general.

Avidyne have their own Youtube channel with lots of tutorial videos here:

If you have an ipad device they also offer simulator apps that will allow you to learn at your own pace. There is also one that connects to X-Plane if you use a home sim (although I can vouch for the fact that it's not that stable).
