UK PPL (A) move to Denmark

Hello

I have a UK PPL licence, is there a way to transfer it to Denmark ?

As i understand there is no way to do it, since the UK brexit there is no way , is this correct ?

Must i then start from zero on a new PPL in Denmark ?

The licence is over 10 yrs old and at the moment now current.

Same as any other EASA country I think. The link here is Irish, but if you look at TCQ3 you'll get the gist.

I've heard nothing but good about the Danish CAA, so hopefully they'll be helpful and friendly.

From Annex III of Euro law:

B. CONVERSION OF LICENCES

1. A PPL/BPL/SPL, a CPL or ATPL licence issued in compliance with the requirements of Annex 1 to the Chicago Convention by a third country may be converted into a Part-FCL PPL/BPL/SPL with a single-pilot class or type rating by the competent authority of a Member State.
The pilot shall apply to the competent authority of the Member State where he/she resides or is established.

2. The holder of the licence shall comply with the following minimum requirements, for the relevant aircraft category:
(a) pass a written examination in Air Law and Human Performance
(b) pass the PPL, BPL or SPL skill test, as relevant, in accordance with Part-FCL;
(c) fulfil the requirements for the issue of the relevant class or type rating, in accordance with Subpart H;
(d) hold at least a Class 2 medical certificate, issued in accordance with Part-Medical;
(e) demonstrate that he/she has acquired language proficiency in accordance with FCL.055;
(f) have completed at least 100 hours of flight time as a pilot.

Alternatively, if you only wish to fly for a maximum of 28 days per calendar year there is also this option (I found the regulation on the WTF app):

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/723 of 4 March 2020 laying down detailed rules with regard to the acceptance of third-country certification of pilots and amending Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011

Article 8
Validation of pilot licences for specific tasks of limited duration

3. By way of derogation from the provisions of Articles 4 to 7, a competent authority of a Member State may validate a licence which is equivalent to one of those referred to in paragraph 2 and issued in compliance with the requirements of Annex 1 to the Chicago Convention by a third country for a maximum of 28 days per calendar year for specific non-commercial tasks, provided that the applicant complies with all of the following requirements:

a. holds an appropriate licence and medical certificate and associated ratings or qualifications issued in accordance with Annex 1 to the Chicago Convention;
b. has completed at least one acclimatisation flight with a qualified instructor prior to carrying out the specific tasks of limited duration.
