I got a golden ticket!!
Passed my skills test today !! Wheeeeeeeee!!
Beautiful morning for it, sun shining, CAVOK. The lovely people on Liverpool Approach were happy to let me through their zone, Shawbury were cheery and helpful, nobody was leaping out of aircraft over Tilstock, & my diversion was fine . . . does it get any better than this?! Well OK I went around on my first attempt at a flapless and delayed the examiner's cuppa, but other than that great.
No reason for the post other than I feel GREAT and I hope other aspiring aviators out there are encouraged!

Aerbabe - I had to go to WORK afterwards, couldn't tell anyone why I was grinning so much, as they would have realised where I bunked off to in the morning!! (yes, another fictitious and lengthy "customer meeting")*
(* for the same reason, can't show them my logbook in too much detail, 'case they realise most of the dates are weekdays...)
No pints, but I had been saving a bottle of bubbly in my fridge (for the last two years or something) for just this occasion and me and miss sweden are demolishing it. Moet on a Monday. Not a good omen for Tuesday morning, but hey...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
A few entries in my log book occured on days when I was 'sick'.
It is amazing that I felt a lot better as soon as I pulled into the flying club car park.
Walt,,
(edited because I forgot to congratulate Viggen DOH!)

Well done, Viggen!!
I used to fly @ around 0700 on weekdays and be in work for 0930 - as I used to work until around 1900, I figured they were still getting their pound of flesh out of me!

Many hearty congrats!
I did my first solo recently and STILL haven't stopped telling people about it - passing your skills test must give you a warm glow for weeks!!
Well done! It is a long struggle with many hurdles put in our way for sensible reasons, I imagine the feeling of satisfaction must reflect the effort involved!

Many congratulations!
Was it in PT, my favourite, by any chance? (I seem to remember you saying you were a Grob fan)
Perhaps I can get a few slots booked myself now<BG>

PPPPP ... It was indeed the trusty PT, as the transponder was missing from PU.
Don't count on availability though ... I'll be flying more than ever now!!!
