SEP Renwal by Experience
Hi all,
My SEP rating is due to expire in Jan 2024. Long way away but for once I think I値l be eligible for renewal by experience.
Am I correct in thinking that if I have logged 12 hours in the preceding 24 months I値l just need to do an hour with an instructor?
Is that 12 hours P1 or can I include P2?

Assuming you mean revalidation rather than renewal, within the 12 months preceding the expiry date of your rating, to revalidate by experience, you will need to have completed 12 hours of flight time in the SEP class, including:
— 6 hours as PIC,
— 12 take-offs and 12 landings, and
— refresher training of at least 1 hour of total flight time with a flight instructor (FI) or a class rating instructor (CRI). (This can be achieved in as many flights and with as many instructors as you wish.)
There is no such thing as 'P2' on SEP Class aeroplanes.
