Does anyone have old copies of Loop magazine?

Hi - I hope everyone is well and keeping safe during the current lockdown.

Please can I ask if anyone here happens to have old copies of Loop magazine? This was the free UK aviation journal and I'm looking for the 2009 and 2010 years if possible as I'm looking to reference a couple of articles I recall from then. While later copies were digital e-magazines (and these are still available to read free online for a good number - and make for good reading), the paper copies are not so easy to track down and whilst I assumed there would be a national archive / library of magazines apparently not the case!

If anyone has these (for viewing if you don't want to part with any), I'd be most appreciative.

Many Thanks
Ben

I have the Loop Flight Test compendiums for 2007, 2009 and 2010 on the shelf at home. If the articles you want are likely to be in there, I'd be very happy to scan and email them for you.

Found it :-)

Hi - many thanks - I've now found the article I was looking for.

My suggestion for anyone with old copies of aviation magazines is to look after them as they are likely to become valuable historic artifacts over time - especially as magazines are in the process of evolution towards digital and becoming online editorial and community spaces instead of print. Some copies seem to be going the way of first edition London tube maps!

Regards

.. note for Ghengis

Hi Gengis,

I just tried to send you a direct message to say thanks but I get an error that you are over your private message quota - you may have some housekeeping to do here so that you don't miss any other messages :-)

(Co-incidentally I've just finished listening to Genghis Kahn's biography on Audible which was surprisingly good).

Hope you're still enjoying your aviation albeit on the ground for most of us at the moment!

Regards
Ben

Temujin was a fascinating bloke wasn't he. I wouldn't go so far as to call him "admirable", but we can learn a great deal from him.

Yes, I'm permanently over the PPrune PM quota, emails via the board work if you ever need to get hold of me privately.

Delighted to hear you found what you were looking for.

Cheers,
