Haddenham/Thame/Aylesbury EGTA

Some comments on the (usually quite reliable) OpenStreetMap indicate that EGTA closed down for good in dec. 2018. Can anyone confirm/comment?
BTW I do have seen A History of Haddenham Airfield - The First Seventy Years but it doesn't tell beyond 2009.

Yet another airfield that has gone and is being developed for both business and residential use. The activity up to its closure was gliding.

It lies very adjacent to one of my regular routes but it hasn't had regular use for some years. When planning a flight down that way a few weeks ago I noticed it was NOTAM'd as permanently closed.

It certainly no longer appears on charts downloaded using SkyDemon; I've not checked the latest CAA paper chart. I looked for it in passing about a week or so ago to see if there were signs of ground works but it was only just daylight and I couldn't make it out without the chart to guide me.

Closed, grass growing long, signs of building in the SE corner (if I remember correctly).

Lovely field with an interesting history. Shame its gone.

Ok, thanks all. Sad news but not unexpected.

Well you can thank Labours John Prescott for making all airfields brown field sites when most are not.
