Finding a DHC 1 Chipmunk

Wondering if anyone here knows of nice one still in RAF/Royal Navy livery for sale from one of the members?

Sorry, no RAF original, but there is a rare Canadian original for sale at Howards in Tulsa, Oklahoma (it even has an original heater appliance, I know, quite shocking for a Brit). It should be on controller.com and is in rather well condition, have flown it some time ago.

Would looking for a Chipmunk 1 in any livery and repainting it to your requirements open the purchase options? Or have I got a firm grip of the wrong end of the stick here...

Good evening,

Just read your post and found this one:

https://www.aopa.co.uk/classfieds/ai...-for-sale.html

Just a thought...

Regards PistonProvost.

Thankyou all, very helpful, so v grateful for your input. The AOPA one looks promising if its still there. Regarding repaint, would consider it, but only if the RAF/MOD would allow it to be put back to its original livery !

Slight problem with that advert pistonprovost is that it dates from 2016 and the aircraft subsequently sold to a new owner.

Thankyou for thinking of me - that’s the one with accident damage and an incomplete log

I can see that you wouldn't want that. Shame, it looked good on the photos.
