Windrush / Sherborne Airfield

Though listed as dissused, I know there was a grass strip in limited use there up untill a couple of years ago but I have heard nothing since and have lost the contact number I had
Any pointers appreciated

Could you be more specific? Coordinates, even if approximative?
And if you found it listed, where was that?

I can't post Links, but Goggle "RAF Windrush"
Last I Know of it's use was getting an invite to a fly in for a memorial to be installed (which now I look it up was actually 3 years ago-2015*) but I never made it due WX
I would really like to visit the airfield and the Church

An oblique answer. Windrush is still open but I don't have a contact number.

However, if you phone Oaksey Park Airfield on a Saturday and ask for Geoff he knows the farmer at Windrush and might have a contact number.

It is about 4 nms. west of Burford on the south side of the A40. To my knowledge it is now completely farmland but with remains of a WW2 RAF building still there and, of course, a memorial to a very courageous Sgt. pilot from WW2.
