Advise sought Self Fly Hire

Hi Everybody, seeking some advice.

im looking for a single with a bit of performance or maybe a twin to rent in Florida, I’m specifically looking to fly to Nassau For three days there before returning to the rental, location.

im very current on a Embraer 145 as captain, a few thousand hours. Last flew a piston single briefly a few years ago, a piston twin probably 10 years ago, I have an EASA ATPL and a FAA ATP with a few jet ratings and a current 61.58 and 1st class medical so thats me

so obviously no recent experience in GA ops proper which I know to be an issue, but have 1000 hours plus in singles mostly instructional from 10 years ago.

Seeking a recommendation for a sympathetic school that won’t fleece me, is it realistic to expect to spend a full day on check out before being released, let’s have your recommendations please for locations aircraft and prices

Many thanks in advance.

Just take the standard rental check out. You'll be fine, it'll all come back to you in minutes.

First, interesting you are asking and I take that as a serious sign for being an airmen!

If you are current and actual and had a lot of GA hours, it may take you as low as about 2 hours and 5 landings of flight familiarization. I'll come back to you quickly. Just remember to throttle farther down on landings as you are used to - and most important, remember to let stay power longer once back in the 145 ;-).

Thanks guys

Interested in locations and specific types and even specific tails. Would be interested in C182 / turbo arrow / Cirrus. Ideally GPS equipped or some decent kit

Let me know what’s out there

https://www.airplanes4rent.com/aircraft-for-rent/

Or you could checkout
