Derbyshire farm / private strips query

This is a general query for anybody who flies or operates in the area from Duffield to Matlock please.

Two weeks ago, we watched a tail dragger turn onto finals just South of Idrigehay station heading in an Easterly direction having flown down from the North. We thought this was a PFL, but, as the aircraft did not reappear then we assumed it had landed On Sunday, we watched a gyrocopter, and we see quite a few in this area, also flying at low level and then disappearing in the same location again presumably landing.

As I say, this is just to satisfy several people's interest as to where these aircraft were landing.

There is a private strip about 500 yards N of Shottle Hall. It is clearly visible on Google Maps. I think it’s location has recently moved as it used to be roughly E/W but now seems to be N/S.

Thank you for the reply.

I thought I would wait for a couple of days in case anybody else wished to contribute hence the delay.

Unfortunately, Shottle Hall would not be the strip in question. The approach we watched was over the trees along the railway just outside Idrigehay station and Shottle Hall is further to the South than this approach. Likewise the gyrocopter operating in the same location the aircraft would have landed at.

Is this it?

Got me intrigued so I scanned Google maps satellite view for evidence of aviation activity and found a helicopter here. You need to put https slash slash in front to use it
goo.gl/maps/DH9oGuaTQww
(not a regular enough poster to be able to create a proper link)
The shape is more obviously a heli if you look at its shadow on the ground
Is that in the right place?

There is a gyrocopter based at the one I am thinking about. It is not AT Shottle Hall, it is some distance to the N of it.
